Incredibly knowledgeable teacher and super friendly atmosphere! Made to feel extremely welcome and felt as though I could ask any questions without feeling silly. Marcus implements very effective body mechanics yet communicates them in a way that makes them easy to comprehend, breaking down and explaining the concepts behind a sequence of moves then demonstrating how it all fits together.

Fantastic club. Mark is clearly extremely passionate and knowledgeable about BJJ and makes complex moves seem like child's play. He clearly illustrates the principles behind each move or set of moves so that the knowledge is easier to retain (rather than a \just do this - it works\ approach). He also has a great knowledge of mobility, bio-mechanics etc. and generally keeping us all supple, healthy and injury-free as possible. Everyone at the club is friendly and there is definitely a collaborative atmosphere where everyone is out to help each other learn and progress. For instance, I often have people explaining how to choke them more effectively while I'm trying my best to with my legs/arms are around their neck! Oh - did I mention that it's super fun too!?
Great instruction from a coach with a real love of the art of grappling. His enthusiasm creates a positive atmosphere that makes people come back time and again with smiles on their faces. His students are making great strides too, plenty of results in competition. I've studied a number of martial arts for many decades now and I'll be back to this class next weekend.
I've been at the club for 3 months now and I'm really enjoying myself. The instructor Mark is very skilled, knowledgeable and above all a great teacher. It can be intimidating learning a high contact sport like Jiu Jitsu but everyone has been very kind, friendly and supportive to me as a new starter. A really great place for Advanced levels, as well as Novices - I would highly recommend!
